How to Register the Company with SSS

  1. The employer (ER) must accomplish the SSS forms R-1 (Employer Registration), R-1 A ( Employment Report) and L501 Specimen Signature Card.

  2. Submit these forms together with photocopy of Business Permit from City Hall/Municipality, Certificate of Registration and the DTI Registration Certificate (Single Prop) or SEC Certificate of Registration (Partnership/Corporation). The original copy of these documents must be presented for authentication purposes only.

  3. The employee (EE) must secure SSS number by filling up E1 Form, if the company is his/her first employer. The EE should attach his/her Certified True Copy of Birth Certificate from Local Civil Registrar or National Statistic Office (NSO) Copy.

For Online Registration:

  1. Accomplish the online Employer registration form.

  2. Go to the SSS online portal Employer user ID Registration Page

  3. Verify your SSS Online Employer account

  4. Wait for a confirmation email from SSS.

Benefits

  1. SICKNESS BENEFITS
    This pertains to the daily cash allowance paid for the number of days a member is unable to work due to sickness or injury.
    Qualification:
    a. Member is unable to work due to sickness or injury and confined either in hospital or home for at least 4 days.

    b.
    Member's contribution was paid at least 3 months within the 12 month period immediately before the semester of contingency.
    c. Member has notified his/her ER within 5 days after the start of the sickness.
    d. ER must notify the SSS using Sickness Notification form within 5 days after the ER's receipt of EE notification.

  2. MATERNITY BENEFITS
    This pertains to the daily cash allowance granted to a female member who was unable to work due to childbirth miscarriage.
    Qualification:
    a. Member is unable to work due to childbirth or miscarriage.
    b. Member's contribution was paid at least 3 months within the 12 month period immediately before the semester of contingency.
    c. Member has given the required notification of her pregnancy through her employer using MAT-1 Form (Maternity Notification).

    Note: Female member is entitled to 105 days Maternity Benefits for Normal or Caesarian Deliveries, for solo parent additional 15 days or a total of 120 days. 60 days for miscarriage or emergency termination of pregnancy.


  1. SALARY LOAN
    A short term loan extended to a member. The SSS Loan is payable within 2 years in 24 equal monthly installment.
    Qualification:
    a. Member who paid at least 36 monthly contributions is entitled to 1 month salary loan.
    b. Member who paid at least 72 posted monthly contributions can avail at least 2 months’ salary loan.

    Note: In case an EE or a member-borrower is separated voluntarily (retirement or resignation), involuntarily (termination or cessation of business operation), the ER is required to deduct the total balance of the loan from any benefits due to the EE and shall remit the same in full to the SSS. If the benefits due is insufficient to repay the loan, the ER shall report the unpaid loan balance to the SSS. In case of Member-Borrower's Death, total disability or retirement, the total unpaid amount of the loan together with interest and penalty, if any, shall be deducted from the corresponding benefits.


  1. DEATH BENEFITS
    Cash benefits given to the beneficiaries of deceased member is monthly pension or lump sum amount.
    Qualification:
    a. The monthly pension is granted to the beneficiaries of the deceased member who paid at least 36 monthly contribution before the semester of death.
    b. The lump sum amount is granted to the beneficiaries of the deceased member who paid less than 36 monthly contribution before the semester of death.
    c. Beneficiaries of the Deceased Member is entitled to Php 20,000 Burial Benefits.

  2. RETIREMENT BENEFITS
    Cash benefits given either in monthly pension or lump sum paid to a member who can no longer work due to old age.
    Qualification:
    a. A member who is 60 years old separated from employment or ceased to be self-employed at has at least 120 monthly contribution.
    b. A member who is 65 years old whether employed or not and has paid at least 120 monthly contribution.
